Shelter: BC SPCA - Surrey Animal ID: 464123 Birthdate: May 03, 2018 - Kitten Spayed/Neutered: Yes Female Emmy and Golden Boy were born to a feral mother on Haida Gwaii. They were transferred to the Surrey shelter through the drive-for-lives program. As they were not adjusting well to shelter life we placed them into an experienced foster home to help them get used to being with people. They have been in foster for 7 weeks and are now ready for their very own home. Emmy is much more shy than Golden Boy and relies on him to adjust to new environments, new people and new experiences. For this reason, they will be adopted together. We think this is the perfect solution for any cat - pairs keep each other company so there is no need to worry that your cat will be lonely when you are not there. Although Golden Boy was the first to make the jump into accepting humans, Emmy has made the jump too. Golden Boy is so-named because that is how he perceives himself. If you like a cat that wants to be with you constantly, purrs at the sight of you, runs to greet you and walks right by your side, then Golden Boy is your man. He wants lots of love and he wants to give lots of love. Emmy is quieter allows her brother to be in the spot light, but she is a delight with her demure personality. She is also the perfect companion for watching a late night movie. Both kittens are interactive with each other and with humans they are comfortable with. They love a good game of chase, having a perch next to a big window, and absolutely love it when you share your snacks with them. Golden Boy is more interested in meeting new cats than Emmy is. Even with other cats, she is a bit shy. Neither cat enjoys been around dogs and they probably would not do well with young children. We are looking for a home that will let these 2 black beauties adjust to their new home at their pace. They won't make the leap towards you right away. But give them time and you will not be disappointed. If you are interested in learning more about these kittens, please contact the shelter at 604-574-1711 ext 5 and we will put you in touch with their foster home. Please leave a message if you receive our answering service
