Quinta - Lionhead Rabbit

Shelter: BC SPCA - Surrey Animal ID: 472561 Birthdate: March 02, 2018 - Juvenile Spayed/Neutered: Unknown Unknown Darling little Quinta was surrendered to us when her owner was called out of country for a family emergency. She must have been very well loved though because she is super friendly with people and easy to handle (with proper rabbit handling techniques), and comfortable getting groomed. She is presently in a bunny loving foster home and there she was curious enough to go nose-to-nose with a calm family dog! We do recommend bunnies have a bunny friend to keep them company while you are away from the home as they are very social, and generally need one of their own kind to live a full-filled life. Rabbits are the third most popular house pet after cats and dogs, but they do require knowledgeable care, and a calm gentle approach. As they are prey animals they are usually not a good for young children, but older empathetic kids with patience often love to have pet rabbits as they can become very interactive and learn tricks. However the whole family needs to be keen on having a rabbit in their life so the bunny becomes a new member, and not forgotten in an isolated room!
