Sazon Mexican Cuisine Ltd. is looking for experienced Cooks to join our team. Job Title: Cook (Permanent) Employer: Sazon Mexican Cuisine Ltd. Working Location: 2698 W 4th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6K 1P7 Working Hours: 30-40 hrs/wk (Full-time) Wage: $17.75 - $18.75/hr (depends on experience) (Overtime will be paid at time and a half after 8 hrs/day and after 40 hrs/wk) Benefit: 4 % vacation fee or 10 days paid vacation Available position(s): 3 Qualifications: - Completion of secondary school is required. - 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience are required. or Completion of a 3-year apprenticeship program for cooks. r Completion of college or other program in cooking. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Prepare and cook meals and/or individual dishes according to recipes, product quality, portion, and presentation standards, - Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstation, kitchen, and storerooms, - Maintain inventory of food, supplies, equipment, and check freshness of food and ingredients, - Oversee kitchen operations and ensure sanitation practices and kitchen safety standards are followed. - Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food We thank you for your application; however only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
