Cook (Yeonheedong Foods Ltd.)

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team. Job Title: Cook (Permanent) Employer: Yeonheedong Foods Ltd. Working Location: Unit 1507 -- 5665 Boundary Rd, Vancouver, British Columbia, V5R 2P9 Working Hours: 30-40 hrs/wk (Full-time) Wage: $18.00-20.00/hr (depending on experience) (Overtime will be paid at time and a half after 8 hrs/day and after 40 hrs/wk) Benefit: 4 % vacation fee or 10 days paid vacation Available position(s): 1 Qualifications: - Completion of secondary school is required. - 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience are required. Or Completion of a 3-year apprenticeship program for cooks. Or Completion of college or other program in cooking. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Prepare and cook meals and/or individual dishes according to recipes, product quality, portion, and presentation standards, - Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstation, kitchen, and storerooms, - Maintain inventory of food, supplies, equipment, and check freshness of food and ingredients, - Oversee kitchen operations and ensure sanitation practices and kitchen safety standards are followed. - Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
